A great jeweler is a trained professional.
I’d like to share a little about my training in the jewelry industry.
Most importantly, I learned this business from my grandparents Arnold and Gertrude, and my parents Ron and Rita, working for them literally since I was 7 years old…first from pushing a broom, and then to my grandfather teaching me to engrave when I was about 10.
Professionally…
In the mid 1980’s, I moved to Santa Monica, California for about a year and trained at the Gemological Institute of America in their headquarters. While there, I attained the degrees of Graduate Gemologist, Degree in Colored Stone Grading, and Degree in Pearl Grading While no longer active, in the American Gem Society and Independent Jewelers Organization, I also attained degrees under their requirements.
I can relate jewelry to the financial world, as my traditional degrees are in Finance and Investments from Babson College
While gemological degrees and certifications are very important, 40 years experience in the retail jewelry business is invaluable to be able to give you top-notch service.
I’m fortunate to love what I do, and I have a genuine passion for fine jewelry and watches. I LOVE to custom design jewelry for landmark life events.
I understand that the relationship with your jeweler is a special relationship; one that combines trust, knowledge and sensitivity to the sentiment of the occasion being celebrated.
I look forward to assisting you celebrate your special occasion, while bringing my unique design flair to make it truly special.
